April 5, 2008     Letter from President Vivek Likhite

I am honored by the opportunity to serve Walton County Snowbird Organization for the year 2008-09.  My wife, Diane, and I have been coming to this area for the past seven years. It was this organization which helped us become acquainted with our adopted community and its people. We have enjoyed being part of this organization and want to do our part to pay back.

I am grateful to Mike and Mary Serniuk, who have guided our organization this past year. They have given much of their energy this past year to make sure our activities, meetings, and registrations ran smoothly. Thanks for doing such an outstanding job. I also thank them for guiding me during our transition.

If you have thoughts about new activities you wish to see, let us know. Of course, we will need more volunteers to support these activities.  Remember what Gandhi said, "You must be the change you want to see in the world."

I do thank all the members who have already come forward to offer assistance for next winter.  I look forward to your ideas and guidance.

I look forward to working with our new board this coming year. Good health to you. We look forward to seeing you for another wonderful winter.
